“Quietly Swept” by Suzán Jiván Mom & Mom-Mom Suzán...

“Quietly Swept”

by Suzán Jiván
Mom & Mom-
Mom Suzán

Quietly swept
by little self-vetting
ending in a shortened tenure
like tiny blips in longtime records
pre-judging ourselves
after making a dogged defense

determined as a thing of the past
from all the fans of rock-n-roll bands
that became dungeon masters
setting the scene using maps
flowery language and silly accents
with wings and magic
as well as a sense of gathering

all along a cliffhanger
upon dropping in on strangers
with a strict pre-occupation
for self-determination
hoping to be a fresh face
after receiving a strong loving embrace...
